Wyndham Capital Mortgage’s Trey Rigdon Named 2021 HousingWire Marketing Leaders
Rigdon honored in inaugural edition of industry-wide recognition
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (July 1, 2021) – Trey Rigdon, senior vice president of marketing at Wyndham Capital Mortgage, is a recipient of the inaugural HousingWire Marketing Leaders award, which celebrates marketing professionals who are helping make a positive impact on their teams, their organizations and the housing industry through their creativity and influence.
Rigdon displayed these attributes, and much more, throughout 2020 as he was tasked with rebuilding Wyndham Capital’s marketing team from the ground up and setting the rapidly growing company up for success in the space. All of this occurred during a year of fully remote working, a rapidly shifting marketplace and economy, and the ever-evolving business needs of an organization. Rigdon and team overcame these obstacles to help produce a record-breaking year amid the marketing team growing from one to 18 individuals encompassing skills across the marketing spectrum.
“Trey’s strategic acumen revolutionized how we market ourselves, and that has been instrumental to Wyndham Capital’s success,” said Jeff Douglas, founder and CEO of Wyndham Capital. “He created a new marketing philosophy, which has made our company an even better service provider and leader in the industry while cultivating brand ambassadorship among employees to build a stronger connection between our company values and their lives.”
Rigdon was instrumental in employing comprehensive digital marketing strategies that grew WCM’s online presence and, in turn, served as a sustainable, scalable source of qualified leads for WCM loan officers. These efforts were a portion of the business and brand building strategies he designed, which played a significant role in the historic success of Wyndham Capital in 2020. His vision of empathic design was a driver in the visual growth of the WCM brand across all platforms and mediums. This vision stands out as utilizing design and visual brand elements as a vessel to express the audience’s emotions, reactions, and needs.
The employee brand experience he revitalized helped connect team members and build a culture of collaboration and communication. This internal marketing also helped drive efforts to connect team members with the brand, establishing and creating a culture of brand ambassadorship that builds a stronger connection between employees and the brand.
“This past year, while being a challenging one, has laid the foundation for our future successes,” Rigdon said. “What we built will enable loan officers to generate leads, build their own brands and develop agent relationships. Combined with our new brand platform and best-in-class operations is the cornerstone of the new Wyndham Capital culture.”
